"Well made, but a pain to use" 2010-04-01
By Erik Lie Nielsen (Alaska)
PROS: 1: Although made in China, this unit appears to be very well-made;
2: The price is attractive compared to the competition;
3: The small size should make it attractive for use by joggers, walkers, etc. However, due to its drawbacks, I almost sent it back (see below). In fairness, the seller readily offered to take it back for a full credit (less my return shipping), but since I really wanted a truly portable unit I have reluctantly decided to keep it in spite of its limitations.
CONS: 1: My monitor is extremely sensitive to vertical location relative to the heart. It can give widely varying (40-80% different) BP readings when changing its vertical position by only an inch or two - likely a function of a less reliable input at the wrist location. Pulse readings seem accurate. For consistent readings, I `calibrated' the unit against a larger fixed unit to determine the precise elevation for BP accuracy, then must try to reproduce that each time for my use, a real pain.
2: My unit takes one full minute to provide a read-out, which is two or three times as long as a fixed unit, and very unhandy for road work - my main reason for buying the unit.
SUMMARY: Although I will keep my unit I can not in fairness recommend it to anyone else.

"wrist blood Pressure Monitor" 2009-10-17
By Veronika N. Cheban (Seattle, Wa USA)
this is the easiest blood pressure monitor I ever seen; it works excellent- easy to read, even counts your pulse which for me is a huge thing because I am a Nurse Assistant and is very hard to find a pulse especially in old people, just push a button and you are done. I would recommend to all my friends and family especially if they work in a health care field.

"Very Reliable" 2008-03-20

This device has been quite reliable and consistent. You do have to follow the instructions carefully to get an accurate reading.

"Inconsistent readings" 2008-01-12
By MAG (USA)
I borrowed this from a friend after being diagnosed with high blood pressure. The readings are consistently inconsistent and ranged from normal to high. Thankfully, I got to try this out before I purchased, because it would have been a waste of money. When monitoring BP, you need to know where things are at, not that just that you have a blood pressure!
